What do you love most about working at Bloom?
I love the people I work with. I am lucky that I get to go to work every day with a group of people I not only respect professionally but also like personally.  It is a pleasure to work in an environment where everyone gets along and treats each other with respect.  It is also nice to be able to work with my brother and two nieces.

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
I’ve been lucky to have a number of professional accomplishments, including being named numerous times by financial publications as one of the top financial advisors in the country. Those are all fine and well, but I think when I look back at my career my greatest accomplishments have been to be able to help people retire and to not just exist during their retirement but enjoy it.  I remember a number of years ago I went to the funeral of a long-time client.  I can’t tell you how rewarding it felt when my client’s three sons came up to me and thanked me for helping their parents with their finances.  As one of the sons said, “you allowed my parents to live a wonderful life in retirement and for that we are forever grateful to you”. Statements such as those make me proud of my career.

What do you think makes Bloom special?
I believe what makes Bloom special is its people. We have a unique group of people who are focused and dedicated to doing the very best they can for our clients day in and day out. It really is the spirit of our people that makes our organization special.

What did you do before you joined Bloom?
Before founding the firm with my brother, Ken, I worked at a large law firm where I handled a variety of services including estate planning and taxes.
