What type of clients do you enjoy working with most?
I have a passion for retirement planning and helping clients ensure they have a successful and rewarding retirement.  It gives me great professional joy when people can say they are confident enough to retire and enjoy the second half of their life.  I enjoy working with clients that understand the importance of setting goals and appreciate the details involved in the planning process.

When is a time you felt you made a meaningful difference for a client?
I feel that we make meaningful differences for our clients every day, which is part of what I love most about the job. I recently worked with a couple where the husband was retired and the wife was still working. The wife desperately wanted to retire from her job to help take care of her four grandchildren, but they felt uneasy about making it all work financially. I spent time working through the numbers and built a plan that would allow for her retirement. Recently, the couple came into the office for a seminar and pulled me aside to say how happy and fulfilled they are. I never get tired of hearing how people are able to live out their dreams with our help.

What did you do before you joined Bloom?
I worked for an independent investment advisory firm, similar to Bloom. I have been in this business for 25 years and still have the same passion and excitement for the work as I did when I began.

I have sponsored several girls through a Christian-based organization (ESTHERS) that helps shield young girls from sex trafficking. The organization has been an inspiration to me on many levels. It has been a real joy to watch the girls achieve their dreams.
